RPL for people who work in a training and assessment environment, covering practical and gap skills assessment and validation. The course will consist of practical and gap skills assessments and validation.
Please note that RPL assessment may not necessarily result in the issuing of full qualification and in case of any gaps identified as a result of assessment, you may be asked to complete further assessments or attend a face to face tutorial, which will attract extra fee (TBA).
Your trainer will inform you of any gap training required at the completion of RPL assessment.
To successfully conduct Validation activities it is recommended you have a lead person who ensures that effective assessment validation practices are implemented and documented in your RTO, someone from industrya nd maybe an assessor. Validation activities can take many forms so remember to document any validation activities you undertake.
It should involve one or more persons who are not directly involved in the particular instance of delivery and assessment of the training product being validated.
Students applying for RPL will need to demonstrate current competencies in the following areas covering 7 core units and 3 elective units: For a broader selection of elective units, please click here and see Packaging Rules.
The assessment will be a training and assessment pathway, ie attendance in training and submission of RPL portfolio to be supplemented by workplace projects where gaps exist.
The advantage for the individual is the ease of the information stored in one central location and that this information is then readily available to distribute when required.
